The location was ideal for anyone interested in the outdoors. It is truly the best of both worlds, offering convenient access to Hill City while providing a nature retreat only minutes from Custer State Park and scenic Sylvan Lake. There were many amenities on the property, including hammocks, a hot tub, yard games, firepits, and outdoor picnic tables. All of these features are in intimate proximity to a peaceful babbling brook. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly. On top of all these bonuses, the room was spotless and a perfect space to relax after a day of hiking!

Perfect location, amazing owners The owners were so kind and accommodating. They even brought our youngest daughter lemonade on her birthday- they were so thoughtful. There were extra towels without asking. The property has a ton of room for the kids to play outside. We are on the patio every night. There was also space for people to have a fire or a hammock. Really lovely place. We will definitely stay again if we visit the area.

Quiet, picturesque gem tucked away in the Black Hills.
The staff running these cabins were friendly, welcoming, and willing to help at a moment's notice. The location is picturesque and very pretty, with a lovely creek flowing through it. There are firepits and a nice hot tub to relax in after a long day of hiking. The location is also close to many attractions and hiking trails, but far enough away from all the touristy traffic, if you want somewhere a little more out of the way.As of writing this review (6/13/20), the cabins have been under new ownership for a few weeks. The new owners are extremley warm and friendly, as well as serious about making gradual improvements. The cabins are certainly rustic, but extremely comfortable. Will come again when I return to the Black Hills!
